Topps Chrome F1 Hobby Box delayed to January 2026 frustrating buyers

by Collector ClubCollector Club

Topps has informed customers that the 2025 Topps Chrome Formula 1 Hobby Box will not arrive in December as planned. In an email sent to buyers, the company said the release has moved from 17th December 2025 to 22nd January 2026, citing “unforeseen delays.”

Orders will ship once production is complete and ready for dispatch on the new date. The slip pushes deliveries past the holiday period and into the new year, affecting collectors and shops that budgeted for a pre-Christmas release.

The delay was first flagged publicly by Hammonds Hobbies on Instagram, who posted about the date change on social media. Comments under the post captured the mood among collectors who had already paid for cases and boxes in the run-up to Christmas.

One user wrote, “Nothing like spending multiple thousands on cases just to not have product for multiple months… ouch.” Another added, “I didn’t even get an email update.” Others speculated tongue-in-cheek about print-run decisions, while some pointed to potential quality-control pressures. The common theme was frustration at tying up funds during the busiest retail month only to face a five-week wait.

What this year’s Topps Chrome F1 Hobby Box includes

When it does land, the 2025 Chrome F1 release is billed as one of the biggest to date. The set features more F1 autographs than ever and the most rookies in Topps F1 history, built around a 200-card base set that spans F1, F2 and F3 drivers, F1 duo cards, team logo cards and an expanded legends collection.

Fan-favourite inserts Helmet Collection, Speed Demons, Futuro and The Grid return, joined by new designs 1975 Speed Wheels, Ace of Trades, The Chain and Vegas at Night.

A special 75th Anniversary pack is added to every Hobby box to mark F1’s milestone year, giving buyers 20 standard packs plus one bonus Anniversary pack (21 packs in total, four cards per pack).

Chase cards include the F175 Refractor Foil numbered to /75, a nine-card subset called The Grail with prizes for those who complete it, and 75th Anniversary Relics that feature real diamonds in very limited boxes.
