by Collector ClubCollector Club

Formula 1 icon Lewis Hamilton is set to make a special appearance at the grand opening of Fanatics Collectibles’ new flagship store on London’s Regent Street this Friday, 25 April 2025. The announcement was made via Topps’ official Instagram account, generating even more excitement more the grand opening, if that’s even possible!

This event marks a significant milestone for Fanatics as it establishes its first permanent retail presence in Europe. The store aims to serve as a central hub for the trading card community, offering a range of products and experiences designed to engage both seasoned collectors and newcomers to the hobby.

A new home for the hobby in the UK

The 8,647-square-foot store is designed to be more than just a retail space. It features a central display showcasing some of the rarest and most desirable cards, a state-of-the-art breaking studio for live pack openings, and interactive educational touchpoints to guide visitors through the world of trading cards. Additionally, the store includes a personal card creation suite, allowing fans to design and produce their own custom trading cards.

Simon Rosenberg, Head of Retail for Fanatics Collectibles, emphasised the store’s role in fostering community engagement: “It’s a place where international fans of all sports and interests, as well as the community, can discover, be surprised, delighted, and have a place to visit, hang out, and rip packs.”

Exclusive products and memorabilia

The store offers an extensive range of products, including trading cards from brands like Topps, Merlin, Match Attax, and Bowman. Collectors can also find exclusive merchandise, such as signed memorabilia from sports legends, including Lionel Messi and Tom Brady. Apparel from Fanatics-owned Mitchell & Ness is also available, catering to fans of various sports and teams.

In addition to its retail offerings, the store plans to host regular events, including trade nights, kids’ rip events, and athlete signings. These initiatives aim to build a vibrant community around the hobby and provide fans with unique opportunities to connect with their favourite athletes.

A continuation of Fanatics’ UK presence

This flagship store follows Fanatics’ successful pop-up venture in Westfield London, which operated during the 2024 holiday season. The pop-up store offered a wide range of collectibles and hosted events featuring notable athletes, setting the stage for Fanatics’ more permanent establishment in the UK.

Event details

The grand opening event featuring Lewis Hamilton will take place at the new Fanatics Collectibles store located at 54 Regent Street, London, on Friday, 25 April 2025. Fans are encouraged to arrive early, as the event is expected to draw a significant crowd.
