The Fanatics Collectibles store in London has launched a new buyback service, offering collectors instant cash or store credit in exchange for high-grade cards.
Announced via Instagram, the service begins this week and applies to cards graded 8, 9 or 10 by third-party graders such as PSA, BGS, CGC or ACE. It will operate in-store at Fanatics’ flagship Regent Street location, with no appointment necessary.
With graded cards flying off the shelves quicker than the store can stock them, we wouldn’t be at all surprised if you were to see your card feature in one of their glass cabinets a few hours later.
This week’s buying schedule (W/C 12th May 2025)
Fanatics will be actively purchasing cards on the following dates and times:
-
Thursday 16th May: 5PM – 9PM
-
Friday 17th May: 2PM – 6PM
-
Saturday 18th May: 2PM – 6PM
The service is designed to help collectors offload unwanted slabs or make space in their collection while receiving on-the-spot offers.
What cards are Fanatics looking to buy?
Fanatic’s Regent Street store is particularly focused on purchasing high-quality slabs, specifically those graded 8 and above. Whether you’re trading in duplicates, rebalancing your portfolio, or looking to convert cards into store credit for other hobby gear, this initiative presents a convenient new option for London-based collectors.
Here’s a rundown of each of the grading companies Fanatics will take graded cards from:
PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator)
PSA is the most widely recognised grading company globally, with a growing presence in Europe thanks to its UK-based submission partnerships and appearances at major hobby events like the London Card Show.
BGS (Beckett Grading Services)
While primarily US-based, BGS cards are highly sought after by European collectors, and the company occasionally partners with international dealers and submission groups to facilitate cross-border grading.
CGC (Certified Guaranty Company)
CGC has been expanding its trading card operations into Europe via third-party submitters and recently gained traction in the UK Pokémon and TCG communities for its consistent turnaround times.
ACE Grading
ACE is a UK-based grading company known for its bold slab designs and transparent grading standards, offering collectors in Britain a fast and accessible domestic option without international shipping.
A growing presence in the UK hobby scene
The Fanatics Regent Street store has become a central hub for the UK collecting community since opening earlier this year. From exclusive product launches and exclusive events to celebrity appearances, the store has already played a significant role in bringing hobby culture to one of London’s busiest shopping destinations.
located on 100 Regent Street, W1B 4DY. The store offers a wide range of Topps and Fanatics-exclusive products, including sports cards, trading card games, and limited edition releases.
The store is open seven days a week, typically operating Monday to Saturday from 10am to 8pm and Sunday from 12pm to 6pm, making it accessible for collectors throughout the week. It also plays host to regular events, product launches and in-store activations, helping bring the UK collecting community together under one roof.
No appointment needed – Quick and easy sales!
Collectors can simply show up during the scheduled hours with their best cards and receive an offer there and then. As with all buyback services, it’s likely that pricing will be assessed on condition, popularity, and overall demand, so be sure to bring your most desirable slabs that you don’t mind letting go of.
