“Eyes in.” Always. It’s how I start every rip, not just to set the tone, but because it means something to me. That moment before you open a pack? It’s full of hope, nerves, and a bit of magic.
But this one isn’t just about what comes out of the box. It’s about why I keep coming back to this part of the hobby, the stories, the quality, and the people behind the product. And in this case, that product is Futera.
The arrival of FX Series 2.
As a Selecta-Club member and someone who’s followed Futera for years, I’ve seen firsthand what they’re doing for collectors here in the UK. Their cards are built differently, in both feel and focus. While they might not have full league licences for their flagship products, they do have some big-name club licences and, more importantly, a clear passion for what makes collecting fun.
With FX Series 2 landing later this month (July 2025), it felt like the right time to share our experience — not just to show what’s inside a box, but to talk about why Futera’s earned a real place in our hobby routine.
The Futera feel: Quality that speaks for itself.
Let’s get this out of the way early: Futera don’t do things by halves. Whether it’s their team sets for clubs like Liverpool, PSG, or (begrudgingly) Barcelona, or their global “World Football” products, what stands out immediately is the premium feel.
Cards come thick, cleanly cut, and presented with incredible attention to detail. And that’s not marketing fluff — from foiling to the box inserts, everything just feels proper.
Yes, they lack full UEFA or FIFA licensing across their global sets, but the club-licensed team collections make up for that. These sets let fans of specific clubs chase meaningful hits, on-card autos, and game-used memorabilia with a genuine connection to the clubs and players.
Don’t get me started on the on-card autographs. It’s the little touch of including the date and location of the signings, and those worn patches that add such a sense of authenticity.
Community and the Selecta-Club
Being a Selecta-Club Member means more than early access, quarterly drops of the Selecta-Club set, and pre-order windows (although those perks are very welcome!). It means being part of a global collector base that’s genuinely supportive and active. Live rips, hobby chat, advice, trades, it’s all there.
The Selecta Club Facebook group has grown into one of the more grounded and engaging places for hobby talk, and that’s because of the care and attention Futera give their customers. You’re not just a buyer; you’re a collector they actually talk to.

Each Hobby Box (Green) contains 10 packs, with up to 5 cards per pack. Collectors can expect 2 foil-numbered parallels per box, along with 1 foil insert. Every box also guarantees a special hit, which could be an autograph, game-used relic, or low-numbered card.

FX Series 2 – My verdict (So far)
If you love collecting with meaning, not just chasing the next numbered hit, Futera should be on your radar. With FX Series 2, you’re looking at:

- A passionate, real community to collect with
And yes, the price point isn’t budget. But for the collector who values story, quality, and connection, there’s a ton to appreciate here.
